The saddest part about childhood friendships is that a lot of them are based on circumstance (where you live, school, etc) and sometimes those relatonships stops making sense in the 'real world'. It's a shame, but something so many of us experience.
Couldn't agree more with Shannon's point about 'Close'. The best film I've watched this year (although I thought it was Belgian). It investigates the policing of male behaviour in a way I've never seen in a movie, and Eden Dambrine gives one of the greatest child performances ever committed to film.

Would hugely recommend, although one you may have to be in the right mood for. Definitely not a hungover Sunday afternoon film.
